Aroma101: Foundations: Cultivating an aromatic path to health and healing Discover the benefits of holistic aromatherapy in our 40 hour foundations program. This course is a Certification program and fulfills the requirements of Level One Certification as established by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy Council for Aromatherapy Schools and Educators (CASE). This program is a prerequisite for the Aroma201 program.

Aroma201: Masters Apprenticeship program for Aromatic Studies This challenging & rewarding comprehensive course is one of the most unique and empowering courses currently available in aromatherapy. The Masters Apprenticeship program will empower you to fully integrate aromatherapy into your existing profession (massage therapists, estheticians, herbalists, and other healthcare professionals) or firmly establish an independent practice as an Aromatherapy Consultant. The Masters Apprenticeship program will empower you to care for your own family and friends. The Masters Aromatherapy apprenticeship program offers you the opportunity to study with a small group, delving deeply into the heart of aromatherapy.

Foundations in Herbal Medicine This comprehensive program integrates hands-on learning of herbal preparations, guided and individual study projects and a chance to interact with other students of herbology. Throughout your apprenticeship, you will learn the foundations of herbalism through monthly weekend gatherings and some evening to allow you to practice your skills with an experienced herbalist.


Independent Specialized Modules

These modules are designed for a specialized topic and were created for Aromatherapists and aromatherapy enthusiasts who would like to advance their knowledge in a particular subject matter. Each program is self contained and requires a foundation of basic aromatherapy knowledge. We would encourage you to complete the Foundations training program or an equivalent program prior to registering for an individual specialized module. Please contact the College with any questions you may have.

Aromatic Applications for the Skin This module is devoted to exploring the unique applications of essential oils, herbal oils, vegetable oils and other raw material to the skin. This course had been designed for: Estheticians, Massage therapists, Healthcare providers and the individual interested in caring for their own skin with natural products.

Aromas and the Mind Explorations into the psychological and physiological impact of aroma This module is devoted to the exploration of olfaction, aroma and its impact on our emotional and physical well being. Throughout this module we will explore the physiological aspects of odor perception and develop an understanding of the aspects of the brain involved with our sense of smell. Essential oils will be explored for their psychological benefits.

Chemistry by and for the Aromatherapist & Health Practitioner Ever wonder how essential oils work? Throughout this module you will develop an understanding of basic organic chemistry and you will be able to identify the families of chemicals found within essential oils and the individual chemical constituents which make up those families. Building upon this knowledge we will then explore the therapeutic benefits of these families and the known therapeutic activity of some individual constituents. You will be able to define the terms: antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral and antimicrobial.

Aromatic Reflexology Discover the healing powers of reflexology and aromatherapy. You will learn the Ingham method of giving a full reflexology treatment and discuss diagnostic tools to enable us to focus in on specific areas for healing. You will learn how to utilize essential oils during the reflexology massage and much more.
